Job Description:

The role encompasses solution design, installation and implementation of security solutions within our customers’ networks with a specific focus around content security. The ideal candidate will have strong pre-sales and consulting experience with Blue Coat SG/AV appliances and as well as Cisco Iron Port S/C series solutions as we are continuing to win a number of large 50,000+ user opportunities in this space. Candidates with excellent experience in alternative web and email based content-based solutions will also be considered. Additional security technology experience particularly around firewalls and load balancing would also be beneficial. A strong background in networking is essential, and whilst the role requires strong technical skills, you will interface directly with the clients, meaning customer-facing skills are crucial.

The role offers the right candidate exposure to some of the largest content security projects in the UK with well-known, household names within both enterprise and public sector organisations. In addition while we have an immediate requirement for content security skills, the right candidate will benefit from career progression and training in a number of other technologies within our portfolio. We recruited 3 engineers into our 2010 graduate training programme in early 2011 and as well as a resource for the consulting team our engineers are working towards involvement in consultancy work themselves allowing for significant progression and technology exposure for everyone within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-sales implementations for Blue Coat and Cisco Iron Port technologies.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance to Nebulas’s external account managers.
• Perform technical presentations and demonstrations as required by the business.
• Ensure that both the sales and technical teams are kept abreast of latest Blue Coat and Cisco Iron Port technology developments.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience providing pre/post sales assistance with Blue Coat and Cisco Iron Port technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 2+ years’ experience in networking experience to CCNA level.
• Strong interpersonal & presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technology simply.
• Ability to write proposals, RFP responses, and SOW documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
• Self-motivated and flexible.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous: Check Point, F5, Palo Alto or Riverbed.
