The review aims to identify areas of operational inefficiency within the security infrastructure and provides an actionable report based on current best practice. Engagement Process
The Security Operations Review (SOR) follows a 4 step engagement process:
1. Planning Phase:
Conference call between Nebulas Technical Consultant and the Operations Manager to talk through the review process and parameters and to identify the scope of the review.
2. Briefing Phase:
On-site meeting between Nebulas Technical Consultant and the Operations Manager to set the detailed brief for the review. This will cover network architecture, security policies, change management and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Discovery Phase:
Nebulas Technical Consultant on-site for 1 day to gather information from the organisations operational teams. Close observation and data collection from the network is combined with infrastructure monitoring and preliminary log analysis.
4. Reporting Phase:
Off-site detailed technical analysis of infrastructure and resource allocation, operational procedure consideration and report drafting.
Deliverables
The SOR review report is a thoughtful and considered response to the situation as found based on the technical expertise that Nebulas have built up over many years. It will identify areas where operational efficiency gains can be made and will recommended a detailed action plan covering all aspects of the security infrastructure.
